Protection Profile Evaluations

Protection Profile (PP) evaluations require evaluators experienced with both PP evaluations and with the specific technology pertaining to the PP.

CC Eval Prep offers a staff with prior experience in evaluating PPs, such as the Smart Card Security User Group (SCSUG) Protection Profile. In addition, our staff offers experience with numerous technologies such as, Application Servers, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Public Key Infrastructures, Secure Content Filtering, Secure Messaging, Smartcards, Stored Data Integrity Monitoring, Stored Data Deletion, and VPNs. Therefore, you can ensure your protection profile evaluation is performed with the knowledge and experience necessary for ensuring that all concerns pertaining to Common Criteria compliance and to the specific technology identified by the Protection Profile have been identified.

CCTL ACCREDITATION ASSISTANCE

Quality Management System Preparation

When a company decides to proceed becoming accredited as a CCTL, the first step in the process after submitting an application to the Common Criteria scheme is to develop and submit a Quality Management System that complies with the requirements indicated by the respective Common Criteria scheme.

CC Eval Prep offers a staff with prior experience in the development of Quality Management Systems specifically for satisfying the requirements of the U.S. Common Criteria Evaluation & Validation Scheme (CCEVS), in accordance with NIST Handbook 150 and NIST Handbook 150-20. Therefore, you can ensure a quicker turnaround in submitting your Quality Management System and proceeding to the proficiency testing phase of your accreditation process.

Proficiency Testing Assistance

After submitting a Quality Management System that has been determined to be acceptable by your Common Criteria scheme, your next milestone is to perform proficiency testing so that you may demonstrate to your Common Criteria scheme that your evaluation team possess the appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the evaluation and that you perform the evaluation in accordance with the policies, procedures and instructions defined within your Quality Management System. Additionally, the U.S. Common Criteria scheme (CCEVS) has recently released a policy (CCEVS Policy #11) which requires a candidate CCTL to initiate and complete an initial evaluation within 18 months from the time of its CCEVS website listing.
